PICFA “ Pondicherry India China Friendship Association “ was initiated to enhance India-China relations in education and cultural areas.
Pondicherry and China have historic relation because of the great works by Prof. Xu Fancheng. Xu Fancheng was a great Scholar who lived in Pondicherry during the period of 1951-1978 (27 years), as such Pondicherry gained the attraction as the spiritual and cultural bridge between India and China due to the works of Xu Fancheng.
To create an awareness for the Sino-India relations in the field of Education and culture PICFA was formed in Pondicherry, with a special focus on research and study on Xu Fancheng. The main goal of PICFA is to enhance and enrich people to people relations between India and China through wisdom.
Objective and aims:

- Increasing Chinese tourist visits to India. Help to assist Chinese tourists.
- Showcasing Chinese arts and crafts. Promote regional Chinese – Indian cultural arts and artists
- Strengthen understanding and appreciation for the Chinese in India.
- Provide quality venue and platform for Chinese –Indian artists.
- Promote the Chinese – Indian Cultural Corridor.
- Establishing Cultural center in Memory of Xu Fancheng.
