BJP Makes Tall And Hard To Achieve Promises In Its Manifesto For MP Elections

Ahead of the ensuing assembly election in Madhya Pradesh, BJP has released a promising but hard to achieve manifesto.  From promising 10 lakh jobs to the youth to women empowerment, the manifesto makes many tall claims. Here are few major highlights of the released manifesto:

1. All the girls having above 75% score in 12th grade, will get two-wheeler bike.
2. The party will launch ShaktiSwaroop Yojana, which will focus on women employment.
3. A state-wise information management will be formed and there will be annual scrutiny of the crimes in the state.
4. Every police station will be given special kit to collect evidences in rape cases.
5. The party promises to create 10 lakh jobs every year.
6. The government will also launch Laghu Kisan Swavlamban Yojna that promises bonuses to small-scale farmers.

As usual, most of the promises are identical to the previous manifestos. Here are the few drawbacks of the proposed manifesto:

1. Most of the points given in this manifesto are similar to the ones in the 2013 manifesto. It reflects that government has failed to fulfill those promises.
2. As BJP has been ruling in Madhya Pradesh for 15 years. So they have to answer why Madhya Pradesh is amongst those state who are top in crime against women.
3. The level of education is degrading in Madhya Pradesh. The manifesto mentioned no policy or scheme related to education sector.
4. In 2013, BJP manifesto promised to improve the condition of the farmers. But on the ground, government failed to do so. It clearly shows disinterest and intention of the government.

Most of the time parties do promise only to counter the manifestos of other parties. After winning they get failed to achieve. Such practices enhance distrust on democracy. So it is the duty of media to testify these manifesto.
