Ending Ties With BJP, Sanjay Singh Masani Moves To MP Congress

Madhya Pradesh is preparing for its Vidhan Sabha polls, to be held on November 28 this month. This is one time when even Sanjay Singh Masani (who desired to contest from Waraseoni area in Balaghat district) expressed his annoyance with the BJP.

He has made the first move, which must have embarrassed the Bhartiya Janata Party, by recently joining the Congress party, thereby giving a boost to the grand old party in Madhya Pradesh. His entry into the Congress’ fold was like the launch of a horse race.

Once very close to the state Chief Minister, his departure from the parent party would have been a disturbing event for the ruling party leaders. His shift looked probably like a bit of firm attitude. But once the BJP ticket is denied to interested seekers like Masani, such a shocking consequence was bound to happen.

Contesting the election remains the ultimate motive of every politician and he also dreamed of it. Nothing that happens around the ticket allotment days is planned, normally due to discontent and negligence.

The moment his ticket was cut, his heart, we might assume, began to pulsate, he was cross, and he anticipated a heavenly feeling after connecting with the rival political party, a party making efforts to capture the seat of power in the state. His diplomatic heart, in my opinion, inflated with a lust for power that he had so often thought, had stopped working after the denial of the ticket.

Accusing the ruling party, he professed that the tickets were given to people whose parents were in politics for decades. Although he felt a surge of affection for the Congress party, he was quite conscious of the realities of the state’s politics.

Politicians undeniably join the political party for attaining a certain status. This remains apparent with the practice of changing from one political party to another,  in accordance with the convenience.
