Quick Litmus test of BJP’s Streak:A brief Analysis

If Gujarat is a workshop of Hinduism, and Uttar Pradesh is the path to Delhi’s throne, then we can say Madhya Pradesh is the tactical battlefield of political parties. Both the Congress and BJP are full on slandering each other.

The Congress had ruled Madhya Pradesh for 60 years. However, with a complete majority, BJP came to power in 2003. In the 2003 assembly elections, the major issues were the rate of high power cuts in the state, the government employees’ distrust of their government, and the poor condition of farmers. Poor implementation and corruption in policies like guaranteeing education, the Gram Sabha functioning. The Digvijay government proved to be the last nail in the coffin of Congress.

After winning the 2003 assembly election, the BJP solved some key issues like the power cuts, and the law and order situation. But BJP government failed to properly address problems related to farmers and agriculture. According to a report the NCRB published in Times of india in 2016 one farmer committed suicide in every six minute.

During the third term of the BJP, some major corruption cases like the Vyapam ghotala (scam) happened. Despite such serious allegation and anti-incumbency, the BJP managed to win the 2013 assembly election. Now if we dig through the current situation, then the 2018 assembly election is totally unpredictable, with the BJP facing agitation from farmers. The general category, which is considered the true backer of the part, and its core vote bank, is miffed with BJP. Finally, Madhya Pradesh’s assembly elections in 2018 is a roadmap for the upcoming General Elections in 2019.

Both the BJP and Congress are trying their best in the battleground. Let’s wait for the day of judgment, which is, of course, December 11.
