The standard of Indian journalism has gone down the drain. Instead of informing the public with facts and logical debates, the media is busy manufacturing content to run its businesses. The present situation of TV news can be equated to the Kayfabe model of professional wrestling where fighters indulge in staged fight and stick to the script. The model is all about unreal events and unreal characters. The noisy TV debates where opposition leaders indulge in pointless verbal spat instead of logical arguments is nothing more than Kayfabe. In this model, everyone wins but the audience loses.
