I Write Because It Helps Me To Lighten My Soul

Years back when I was a teenager, I was pretty extroverted. I used to talk to and greet everyone in my mohalla. Also, I was everyone’s favourite. But soon after, I began feeling a sense of inferiority, and being judged by other people affected me badly. A kind of fear developed: “Log kya kehenge?

That was the phase when I turned into an introvert. My confidence had been shaken. That transition affected my whole identity and behavior. Now, many times, I do not feel comfortable even with my friends and family.

Two years ago, one of my friends suggested writing a diary. Fortunately, I took his suggestion seriously and started writing on a daily basis. I started putting all my thoughts, feelings, and wishes into words. Soon after that, I had a kind of soothing moment. I felt light. Writing in my diary helped me to connect my dots and figure out my goals and destination.

Experts say it takes 21 days to form a new habit. I have been writing for two years and developed this habit to such an extent that without writing blogs or my diary I feel incomplete. After writing, I always feel self-motivated.

In my opinion, everyone should write 200 to 500 words on a daily basis. It will enhance your critical thinking and will enhance your perspective about various situations and things. For me, this habit is a savior and a true friend, which always motivated me to do better in life.
