AAP To Hold ‘Bhagwan Bachao Yatra’ In Uttar Pradesh On Jan 12

Delhi-based Aam Aadmi Party is organising a novel idea of initiating a ‘Bhagwan Bachao Yatra’ in the most populous state of Uttar Pradesh in the first fortnight of the New Year’s first month. Confirming of this well-planned demonstration by his party’s state unit, its podgy leader Sanjay Singh said that this march would focus on exposing the ruling Bhartiya Janata Party’s half-truths to the down-to-earth common people.

In this unique exercise of the Aam Aadmi Party, there are other regional political parties like the Apna Dal whose leaders are supposed to be extending their complete support in the proposed Yatra on ensuing January 12.  By the very title of the stir, the protest march seems to be reordering the much-used idea of protest over ‘Dharam Sankat Mein Hai.’

All those politicians who were lucky enough to mature in the tolerant surroundings of independent India, they are believed to be distancing themselves from issue-based politics. They were knowingly leaving behind the big socio-political question: When will India be free from poverty and backwardness. Will it take another 134 years hence? They are still trumpeting illogical, insignificant and unfounded matters.

Ours is a country where faith holds immense value in people’s mind. This is what our politicians clearly comprehend and they raise such matters before people. Many of the politicians with worldly leanings would like to react with a different conception that looks like somehow they were fearlessly respecting moral and social boundaries. Not just due to the sensitive and divisive nature of the politicians, but also because of the exceptional authority of two millennia of widespread belief in God, we are still not deviated from the path of faith.

We would feel then, as many still do today, that we were humbly destroying confidence in secular values enshrined in our Constitution. A time of darkness definitely existed before the advent of science. However, our learning broadened our perceptions and we were progressing with the knowledge that was already persisting since time immemorial. Its expansion exposed several sorts of nonsensical attitudes. In that case, what is the reliability of the projected march?
