Though our country’s Constitution instructs us to inculcate a feeling of scientific temper, it seems woefully uncared for by the countrymen at some steps. As the extensive debate over Lord Rama’s trusted devotee Hanuman’s caste continues, the common man sees it as a series of steely barbs.
A surprising number of politicians have expressed their thoughts about the deity’s caste – which is essentially a huge odd in many ways. With deep concern for preparing a positive ground for the ensuing parliamentary elections, a totally varied idea has been pointedly activated. Is it not causing almost instinctual anger among general public?
In one way or the other the clever politicians are digging up everything they can to come up with fresh controversies that gets them a place in media debates. Many have also started to openly mock the carefully constructed ‘Ram Mandir’ angle that happens to be at the forefront at every election as the ruling party’s political agenda.
Others stated that this political stunt would not be effective this time and it would surely ignite a harsh confrontation with the public. Many joked irritably at the deity’s connection with the religion only more than 14 hundred years old. What a political plank it is!
However, aged but ready-minded Bukkal Nawab, BJP member of Legislative Council, also came up with a theory claiming that Lord Hanuman was indeed a Muslim. Now, one body in Kanpur has even declared that those revealing authentic information about the deity’s caste would be given a cash reward of Rs 11 lakh!
What the common man came to learn was that Hanuman got the caste certificate from politicians one after another. But if a common man actually needs a caste certificate – he can never be successful in obtaining the document so easily from the state government office.
Like all the documents that work as pieces of evidence, a caste certificate is also required as proof in different welfare schemes. The applicant has to first move either at Tehsil or Sub-Divisional Magistrate or Block Development Officer. An application with all the required details along with various copies of the proofs remains a basic requisite for obtaining the caste certificate copy. Online facility is also available but it is not free from trouble either.
The procedure may not be as simple as the politicians have made it by circulation of respective caste certificates to the revered deity among the Hindus. But every person who really needs the document has to cross over several hurdles even now.
