#WhyIWrite

academic writing

“Start writing no matter what. The water doesn’t flow until the faucet is turned on” – Louis L’ Amour

This quote has always been my inspiration. This also reminds me of my childhood, since when I started to write. Yes! In my childhood, I use to write letters to God, mentioning all the reasons and incidents, as for why God should return my father back to me! It’s a memory that was refreshed when I first saw the campaign hashtag.

Initially, It was like, if I wanted a wish, I use to write; If I am angry, you will find me writing. Now, it has turned to, until I write the things that I read or the things that are being discussed, on the paper, it is tough for me to understand those.  Yeah…very much writing dependent that way!

For me, writing also became my vent out method, where I use to scream out loud but silently on paper. Writing has become the best way in the expression of my emotions. While writing this, I am also discovering that I can articulate more clearly through this medium than if I had to orate on this.

Sometimes, it seems to be funny, even to me, for writing so much. Often, people make fun of the way I am noting down each and everything while in a meeting.  Even I consider that to be funny as while jotting down, I think that every word in the conversation is quintessential for the MOM, whereas, it is only while preparing the MOM, I realise that what I have missed jotting down, are the things which needs to be mentioned in the MOM. Funny it is!

Some people say that in order to write well one should read more. For me, it is like I write more than reading.  I write what I feel…I write what I think. I have a different level of adoration when it comes to paper and pens. I am crazy for pens and madly in love with different kinds of diaries and notebooks.

I write because I find my peace in writing. Nothing can make me calm, except for this.

Keep Writing.

Thank You!
