Kashmir the Pakistani psychology

Attacks in Pulwama and subsequent comments from some liberals have appealed to me. I wrote this article 6 months back and still find it relevant. Since this is a good platform to share an opinion, I am recreating this story. I hope people go through this and make some genuine sense out of it.

Yesterday, I saw a video of Major Gaurav Arya unscrewing every locked myth and conspiracies of our ‘coward’ neighbour. Nowadays, we see a lot of activities in Kashmir, and it increased after the death of the Hizbul Mujahideen leader, Burhan Wani who was compared to Sardar Bhagat Singh by some people who have been promised some kind of ‘Azadi’.

Major, in his speech, has clearly put his point of view as to why such kind of disturbance has been happening since the past few decades. Be it the 1971 war, or the 1998-1999 war in Kargil, where the Indian Army lost a lot of good and intelligent men like Capt. Vikram Batra, or be it the Mumbai Attacks, Pathankot attacks, Uri attacks.

He begins his speech with the core of the Pakistan formation. Well, it is the most basic foundation of bureaucratic psychology. It was indeed created because of the rich and big businessmen of Punjab and Sindh. From our books, we have known that the last viceroy of India, Lord Mountbatten split the country into two parts. But hearing this speech, I revisited the partition and it seems everything falls into a logical sequence. From the pages of history, we know Jinnah as the cause of Pakistan’s formation. Maybe Jinnah was the one who was the leader of the then Muslim league party, but if you revisit history it shows that Jinnah used to eat pork and drink wine, the actions that are totally against Islam. Now, why would the Muslim league put forward a leader like that? If it was all about religion, then sentiments must have played a role. Jinnah was chosen because of his popularity and because he was a lawyer. The “cliche” and rich brat personality of Jinnah did not align with the “two nation theory”.

Finally, the partition happened. Sardar Patel started reconciling kings and started the idea of one nation. But, somehow our one state “Jammu & Kashmir” got into trouble. The trouble was because of the boundaries that Kashmir shared with our neighbour. What happened with the then east Pakistan is out of scope here, I will try to gather some story on that too and shortly post my views on it.

According to Major’s speech, it seems the point is about land. It is the “more land more power” concept. This fact is seen in daily life too. The same has been seen in the cases of real estate businesses. Now when we talk about two nations who have shared a past before, on land has to be one of the major factors.

His assumption lies in the fact that Pakistan has a geographic disadvantage. India is a very wide country and constitutes a large part of the Asian continent. Its wide stretch outnumbers Pakistan’s geographic dimensions. Pakistan might be a large territory length-wise but it has always been a narrow country, sharing borders with not so good neighbours such as Afghanistan and Iran, not to forget their arch-rivalry with India.

Now, a country needs both width and length to strengthen its defence. For e.g China, United States, Russia, United Kingdom and India. All have an advantage due to the geographic dimensions of their state. this helps strengthen the defence.

As Pakistan shares its boundaries with Iran (Shia majority) and Afghanistan, it surely needs land to strengthen itself. And this is a very valid point.

Now as per the constitution of Jammu & Kashmir (yes, the state has its own constitution and its own flag), the state was given some special privileges. This article – “for whatever reasons it came into light” – laid the basis of all the problems that we have been seeing from past few decades. We all know that the best provocation to stir any controversy is to spread the misconceptions of religious bias. After all, this is the lethal weapon to spread hatred. This was the benefit that Pakistan started the provocation of a new form of anti-Indian hatred. Well the so-called valleys that form the greatest defence to any country, led to the veil for the coward terrorist territory Pakistan to spread hatred. As the Kashmiri constitution had no basic fundamental rights mentioned, the majority minority card did not play out well here and it led to a great exodus of the Kashmiri Pandits. Pakistan from that time has largely tried to gain the controls over the Kashmir state. The terror territory has only come face to face with Indian force two times. Both time they have faced a huge defeat. The 71 war, Bangladesh was born and 98-99 Kargil war, we had a possibility to ruin Pakistan and chase them to their capital and finish them off. It is true that the Pakistani army is no near to the strength of the Indian army, leave apart the valour that the Indian army possesses.

Even with the scars of war Pakistan had given to us, the government tried to participate in many peace treaties from both sides, largely from India. Whosoever has participated in peace talks from Pakistan’s side has been assassinated. See what happened with the Bhuttos. See how the general of the army General Zia-Ul-Haq got Zulfikar Ali executed. It was because Zulfikar Ali Bhutto tried to have some treaties with India on the diplomatic front. Major has his say that now the peace, diplomatic and political talks won’t work out. He says this because it has not worked out in decades. There is no denying in it, we are sure about that. Now Pakistan, lost battle two times and whose fundings have abruptly been strangled by the Trump administration announcing publicly about the billions of dollars that Pakistan owes to the United States.

This blot on the world map ( I had to say this because of the leadership they possess), can never be dealt with talks. And Gaurav Arya was clear on his words that they only understand the message of guns. If they would have understood the language of peace the attacks of Mumbai would not have occurred in the first place. From the attacks it was clear that the terrorist captured was going with only one slogan that his so called “aakaas” have sent him from the devil lands of Pakistan, but what did the Pakistanis do, they simply failed to recognise and approve Kasab’s statement. What happened to his family, God knows!

Then comes the great Pathankot and URI attacks in the lands of the disputed territory the Jammu and Kashmir. Somehow the terrorists infiltrate and try to create tantrums and unnecessary fights. It was okay till the terrorists used to infiltrate and cause damage. But, as the Chief of the Army staff, General Bipin Rawat said that the terrorists tend to change their strategies and hence the army today has to face a new kind of problem. That is the problem of internal conflicts. A large number of the Kashmiri public has been misled into wrong terms of Jehad and have been provoked to cause problems to the state to function properly. Now, this would not have been possible if the leaders of Kashmir would have been strict and true patriots. Major claims that these so-called leaders of the Kashmir “ the hurriyet conference” leaders take aid from Pakistan otherwise there is no point. I totally agree with the fact. With the central government’s money, as given to the party in Kashmir to function properly, and aids of their great companions in Islamabad, they have strengthened only the nerves and bones of their families. Each and everyone’s child is studying or working abroad peacefully, and these people ( so called leaders of Kashmir), cry for a new term called “ Azaadi ”. I was so happy when General Bipin Rawat clearly said that there shall be no Azaadi for you. Just try to turn some recent newspapers of the week or watch some news channels and you would come to know how disgusted these hurriyet leaders used to feel.

Today it is the defence and the very valour of the Indian armed forces that somehow have maintained the Kashmir to be an integral part of India and saves the orders of the 1948 paper. ( the plebiscite that was signed in 1948 in United Nations)
These were some good points I picked up from a marvellous talk Major Gaurav Arya gave in the workshop. I hope such documents, articles and videos should be read and watched by everyone. Especially, the leftist literates and some journalists that think that the very democracy comes into problem and human rights are violated on regular basis in Kashmir ( it’s an absolute embarrassment that one of those- left literate- journalists is an alumnus of my school- Modern School, Barakhambha Road).
When the stone pelters did the human right violations, no one spoke. Ain’t throwing stones and acid bottles on the security personnel face is a human right violation? ( Maybe these people do not think that the security personnel are humans or are paid huge amounts to keep their mouth shut).

This is one kind of theory that Major tried to put and I added some of my own flavours to it. Regardless of the theories, it is quite evident that there can be a “samjhauta express” but no “samjhauta” with these fucktards and maniacs. What worries me, and thus the soul purpose of writing this article, is growing of a potential hatred towards the very own defence forces of India. Today a service class individual does not give a damn what happens on the borders. They take pride in digesting the literature of such news, over a morning breakfast. Some like me only show a small amount of sympathy and move on with my life. Well, this is what we civilians can do as of now. But I think we have more obligations towards these men. We have a moral obligation towards these men. We have to take a stand and talk outright. Major requests for us to stand against the defamation of country, flag and army. Don’t you think we all have a small obligation to that too? If someone starts to pee or throw garbage at your door, won’t you take a stand? Won’t you give him a “bloody nose” or “kick in the teeth” ( these are some terms the armed men use in the battlefields)
Many great men such as Hav. Hangapan Dada, Capt. Umar Faiyaz have laid their lives just to make sure there is no event of another Mumbai attacks and terror that killed approximately 166 individuals on that bloody night. Well, army is doing its job. We can see that with the trainings it carries such as Paschim Lehar, Gaganshakti.

We today need to reset our inclination and see are we being the real patriots? I know that many of us won’t agree with this blog and might think that it is the time to think logically and keep a good conscience ( achi fitrat). But I believe this “conscience” will come only if the borders are safe. Whenever you think of ill words about the army or the nation or you want to support the left intellectuals, please revisit those attacks of 26/11 and feel the tremors and feel if a bullet would have accelerated through your neurons of the brain. You might come to know what the defence forces are and how morally high they are.

Havaldar. Hangapan Dada was humming a song when he fought and neutralised three terrorists and injured the fourth one who had infiltrated the rough terrains of Jammu & Kashmir. He was humming this song – “ Badluman Ka Badan zameen ke neeche hai, uska ration humko milta hai” – a famous assam regiment song ( thanks to col. BrijRaj Singh Dahiya bhaisaab, a vinian and an old student of Pilani for sharing this song on Facebook). I would encourage you to see the history behind this song. You might feel some connect with the valour Hangapan Dada fought. This is one such story, there are many stories which are lost but we don’t know about the same. The point here is to see how men fight and how easy it is to say that the “human rights” are being violated ( after all the constitution of Jammu & kashmir does not have any fundamental right, so why this question in the first place?)
People had the audacity to question the famous surgical strikes too! Maybe they did not get the idea that how precisely it might have been carried out. Try to see the documentary, you would come to know how the rocket launcher was shot almost in the air because of no recoil space. How our army went and noted the whole daily routine of the enemy and blasted and hammered them the very second day. Through this article of mine, I would just like to say that why support those who do politics over the blood of the general public. Yes, the ones, who give stones to small children and provoke them to attack the CRPF jawans in the name of Jehad. Major clearly mentions “bachchon ke khoon pe siyasat krte hain ye log”. Instead, why not support people who even when they are fighting with a gun to those coward terrorists and know that they have only one chance – either kill or be killed – and still sing their regiment song “Badluram ka badan…”

At last, the choice is yours, what I would like to say that I was thrilled watching Major Gaurav Arya’s video. The man delivered like a lion and literally through his words hammered the hell out of all the Hurriyet conference, left literates, cliched scholars and the ones sitting with their arses down on hotseats of Islamabad singing “ Sarfaroshi ki tamanna” on the complete denial of the surgical strikes.
Ultimately, the choice is yours and I hope this blog helps send out a clear message to all the readers out there to get some feel of the Indian territory and this beautiful country we live in.
