How Does Failure Determine The Success Of A Person

We have always been taught that failure is a dreadful thing and that it brings adversity in a person’s life. However, has anyone wondered how or why?

Failures are always looked upon as people who cannot accomplish anything in their life. They are demotivated at every step of their life. With that myth revolving around, people started developing the fear of failure. What if I tell you that failure is the first step to success? You won’t believe me but trust me it is!

We, humans, tend to live in our comfort zone. We presume things that are good for us, that will work for us, and we often come up with a plan b or plan c, and are often unwilling to take risks because we have that fear of failure in us.

We get motivated when we hear about comeback stories of great entrepreneurs, college dropouts, startup heroes who have seen big failures in their lives but nothing stopped them from shooting the stars.

A very renowned example is J.K. Rowling, the author of Harry Potter series who went from being a jobless single mother, living off unemployment benefits to one of the bestselling authors of all time. Failure or success is nothing but emotions and depends on your perception. True happiness does not come without struggling through those bad days and emotions.

To understand the true value of success one needs to start from scratch, face their battles, learn from the hardships of life. Let us contemplate how failure plays an important part in a person’s success.

Positive Attitude

There are two ways of seeing the glass- either it is half empty, or it’s half full. The way you presume things is the attitude you attract in your life. If you are going to crib about every single thing, you will never be able to move past them. Failure can either make you an optimistic person or a pessimist. What you want to learn from your experience is solely your choice.

Rise From The ashes

Some people have seen more failures than success in their life, but that didn’t stop them from achieving their dreams. Failure gives you that boost when you are at your weakest. Everyone has their good and bad days. There’s a new day with new hopes for everyone. It is perfectly fine if you want to take a break, but that break should not be the end. It should encourage you and give you new hopes to achieve your goals. When the person starts from scratch, he is then ready to step out of his comfort zone with internal strength.

Keeps Ego In Check

Failure is the best teacher a man could ask for. It helps you to see the world with a different approach. It brings out the best of your personality and makes you a completely different person. When you have nothing left with you, you understand life. You receive what you give to others; thus failure teaches you to be serene and keeps your ego and attitude in check.

Inspires You To Win

Failure is not the opposite of success but a part of it. It’s high time for people to understand that failure is a no big deal. People need to break this myth and stop telling others that only looser fails. To succeed one need to go through the process of failure. It fills you with determination and will to achieve your goal thus helping you to fight your own battles.

Never Let Failure Get To Your Heart

Like in cases when we say success should not get to the head of a person in the same way one should not take failure to heart. Too much of anything is bad; be it success, failure, happiness or sadness. These things do not define our life but are part of our life. One should see such things as different phases of life and learn from them. Everything that comes our way teaches us something. We should not let our emotions rule us, instead, we should keep them under our control.

Miracles do happen. No matter how practically we lead our lives, there’s a part of us which hopes for things that we do not believe. We tend to attract things we want, and in this case, if we are focused and determined enough to achieve what we want, we will. Failures do not tear us apart; instead, they bring us back stronger and unshakeable.
