The Kashmiri youth stands with Jammu against the cowardly grenade attack carried out by the enemies to divide us along the religious lines. Such incidents are a threat to secularism and it’s important that we ensure that all the terrorists involved are brought to book.
Renowned social activist and prolific writer Syed Karar Hashmi, termed the incident as an act of cowardice and he also said that individuals and organizations behind such attacks are the real enemies of the people. He requested the public to provide every piece of information related to the incident to the police – so that the real face of terrorism and terrorists comes to the surface.
Hashmi also added that some fringe elements are working overtime to divide the nation on religious, regional, ethnic and caste lines, but our bond of love and harmony across the state will never let enemies have the desired outcome. Such incidents need strong condemnation and the security agencies must work hard to break the nut and get the culprits arrested and punished.
Karar Hashmi, who is also the Secretary General of Jammu and Kashmir’s Ijtihad-Ul-Shabaabeen, said that Jihad can never be about exploding grenades in public places, and termed such actions as anti-human. We stand with all those people injured in yesterday’s blast and demand time bound inquiry into such incidents. Suspects involved in this sinful crime must be arrested and punished immediately.
