An overview of BA in Photography in India

In India, where there is so much emphasis on popular career choices such as engineering and medicine, it can become tough to convert your hobbies like photography into a full-fledged career. What is BA in Photography?

 

The main objective of BA in Photography is to let students move beyond creative limitations and explore new age photography principles that won’t make their photography style mundane. First-year – Sem I and II

Well, you will not only learn but also have hands-on experience in various types of photography like the interior, architectural, travel, landscape, wildlife, nature and food (yum). Make sure you have enough space in your camera to take so many pictures.

 

In semester IV, you will be taught about DSLR cameras, their applications, and various other designing software. You will learn about the diverse cultures in India. Also, you will be taught how to write crisp copies for a photo, which will convey their meaning in a better way.

 

Third-year – Sem V and VI

 

After learning everything there is for the past two years, students are expected to submit projects in their 5th semester. Apart from that, you will also understand concepts like image development and creative colour concepts.

 

In sem 6, your last sem, you will be taking an internship, while also learning to make portfolios and the applications of creative imaging.
