JEE Main 2019: What will be the Expected Cut-Off?

NTA (National Testing Agency) will be releasing JEE Main cutoff 2019 soon after the April exam concludes. The exam cut offs along with the AIR (All India Ranks) & score cards of candidates will be published on the exam’s official website. Candidates can download their score card and check the cut off list on JEE Main’s or NTA’s website by using their JEE Main application number and password to login.

Along with the expected JEE Main 2019 cut offs, it is also anticipated that exam qualifiers who secure around 70 percentile will qualify for the next stage of IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) admission – JEE Advanced. However, the exam conducting body is yet to release an official notification to confirm the same.

JEE Main Expected Cut Off 2019 by Experts

An ex-faculty member from FIITJEE and Brilliant Tutorials, Ashish Sharma shared that JEE Main cutoff 2019 is likely to go higher this year. Adding more to this statement he said that the cutoff for JEE Main 2019 may peak around 80 for general category candidates and similarly, the cut off will be slightly higher for candidates belonging to other categories.

According to FIITJEE expert Ramesh Batlish, JEE Main 2019 expected cut off is 100-110. In 2018, the expected cut off for JEE Main for general category candidates was between 86 to 90 marks out of 360. As shared by the experts from Career Launcher, the expected cut off for JEE Main 2019 may cross 85 percentile.

It may be noted that JEE Main admission cut off is different from JEE Main qualifying cut off. While JEE Main admission cut off is released by JoSAA for admissions to NITs (National Institutes of Technology), IIITs (Indian Institutes of Information Technology), & CFTIs (Other Central Government funded Technical Institutes), qualifying cut off is the minimum score that JEE aspirants need to obtain in order to appear for JEE Advanced.
