JEE is considered one of the toughest exams in our country and a gateway to the prestigious IITs, NITs and many other government colleges for engineering. While preparing for JEE, students very often find themselves under supreme pressure. So, here are some tips which can help the aspirants deal with that pressure.
- Coping with stress starts with learning and recognising when you begin to get stressed out. Sharing and talking about it with someone takes a lot off your chest.
- You should also avoid over-thinking. Stop comparing yourself with your peers, be focused on your learning. Become a part of a healthy study group. Also, you should know your concentration span and take breaks accordingly.
- You should exercise and eat nutritious food. Fuel your brain as well as your body. If you are on caffeine, it affects your ability to think straight.
- Get a full night’s sleep. Sleep helps in reducing stress levels. When you are tired, you are less patient and easily agitated, which can increase stress.
- Give yourself a reward whenever you’ve crossed the checkpoints you’ve set. It could be your watching your favourite TV show, grabbing a quick snack etc.
- The soothing power of music is well-established. It has a unique link to our emotions, and can be an extremely effective stress management tool. Listening to music can have a tremendously relaxing on our minds and bodies, especially slow, soft classical music. But then, to each his own!
All the best!
