Women March For Change

On April 4, a women’s march was organized by women’s rights groups in Delhi and several other parts of the country to demand justice and dignity of women. Women leaders raised voice against the lynching of minorities and dalits, there were around more than 100 events in 20 states of India.

This is one of the biggest collective actions by various women’s rights organizations and individuals to give a strong voice for the rights and dignity of the women. Social activist, Bhasha Singh emphasized that, we have gained women rights after long fights, we will not lose anything to anyone. In her address, she strongly condemned the recent lynching of people from minority and dalit communities.

In Delhi, marchers met at Mandi House and walked towards Jantar Mantar, where a public meeting was held. In this meeting women activists, artists and students addressed the gathering.

Similar events were organized in Ahmedabad, Mumbai,  Chennai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad.
