If These 3 Things Are Stopping You From Voting, Listen To Baba Wheelchair’s Gyan!

Last week, Mumbai went to polls. And it saw a record turnout of 55.11%. Did I say record? Yes, I did. Mumbai historically has even lower standards.

Three phases of the election are still to go, including Delhi. Let’s do better. We often do not miss parties due to the Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). Let’s not miss this election either as it will lead to a Full of Becoming Irrelevant (FOBI)

And after all, we have a Metro. We don’t have an excuse of being tired of the daily the ordeal of the local Mumbai train. The Night King is dead (oops, spoilers), we’ve all seen Avengers. Let’s go out and vote for the best candidate in our constituency. A candidate who we can hold accountable when shit hits the roof and one who can focus on making our constituency more liveable.

I never thought I’d say this but we need to learn from North Korea. Turnout in North Korea’s election was 99.99% this year, up from 99.97% the last time. And unlike North Korea’s single candidate election, we have choices. And if nothing else, let’s vote for that violet ink on our index finger. It makes for a good selfie. Did you know the Election Commission procured 20,140 litres of Unique Violet Ink from Mysore Paints & Varnish Ltd (MVPL) in the 2014 elections. Now, you wouldn’t want to waste a public good, would you.
