Did Politics Hit A New Low In Elections 2019?

General elections are going on across the nation in different phases, and both the opposition and the government are using every weapon to persuade the voters. India, the largest democracy in the world, is conducting the biggest election of all time – which will cost the Indian government a whopping 50000 crore rupees. The most important point I want to highlight through this article is – the politics which has stooped to a new low where abusive language and defamation have reached another level. Opposition defaming and abusing PM as dalal, khoon ka saudagar, kalank, Duryodhan etc. is such a low standard of politics especially where a huge amount of money is invested and is extremely shameful.

Though I am not favouring any party, I still believe that the politics should be good and logical. The promises politicians make should be real. No matter what the situation is poor people should not be fooled by promises of farm loan waivers and basic minimum income etc. The main focus and agenda of every general election should be:

1. National security

2. National income

3. Others issues related to health care, food security, job generation etc.

Conclusion

The elections are almost over and on 23rd May the results will be declared. No matter who wins – BJP or Congress, the main motto should be to ban such low standard of politics and ensure that fake promises should not be made and if made they should be fulfilled. Because people, their sentiments, and their rights are above any party.

Long live the nation and long live the democracy. Jai Hind
