Everyone Trolling PC For Her Met Gala Look, Stop Already!

Met Gala 2019 just took place in New York City and the looks of celebrities have stolen the hearts of the people. Many celebrities like Lady Gaga, Kylie Jenner, Billy Porter, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Deepika Padukone attended the gala 2k19.

But I know whose look has amazed most people in India. It’s none other than PC. No, it’s not sarcasm – Priyanka’s pictures from the event are all over the social media. So, I assumed people are sharing her pics so much because they are loving her look.

But, I think I was somewhat wrong. Yeah, maybe – because nowadays people share the things they dislike even more than the things they actually like. Such negativity!

But it just got me thinking that perhaps these are the same people who were slamming a woman (famously known as ‘aunty’) just a few days back because she humiliated a girl for wearing a short dress. People were asking, “who is she to decide what girls should wear?” And now the same people are trolling PC for what she chose to wear. Double standards much?!

At least whatever that woman said, it was all in front of that girl not like YOU and ME ‘the social media warriors’ who are trolling a global actress sitting at home. And let me clear I am not at all supporting that lady, also, I am not a PC fan! But like any other girl, celebrities too have the right to get respect and wear anything according to their wishes. Instead of praising an Indian girl for whatever she has achieved we are laughing at her.

It has become a culture to just share whatever other people are sharing without thinking for a moment and laugh at it.

Lets’s TROLL And ROFL

Maybe most of these people are hearing the term ‘Met Gala’ for the first time and even for that, they should thank PC. But knowing the name is not enough, people need to understand what it is, So, go and google it! Also every year they have different themes and accordingly celebrities decide their costumes. Well, for general knowledge this time the theme was “Camp: Notes on Fashion” which is inspired by Susan Sontag’s 1964 essay that defines camp as “love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration.” So now maybe you got the answer to why she was dressed like that?

Although your likes and dislikes are not going to affect her, and she might be enjoying the creativity of the trolls this time too – just like she did last year, sharing her own memes on Twitter! But, we need to think before doing anything on social media. Especially stop trolling!
