15th August 1947,
A day of rejoice and freedom,
As proud Indian like others,
Unfurled Indian National Flag at CHT,
Alas! With utter surprise,
Pakistan armies took down Indian Flag!
Doomsday begun for indigenous tribals,
Hopes shattered to darkness and
Outcry from Chakma leaders,
To be part of India,
But their outcry remained unheard.
Sufferings that Chakmas and others went through,
Is untold and unmeasurable.
‘Some’ can’t exactly
Feel our sufferings and painful exodus,
Because they didn’t go through it exactly,
Suffering still continues even in
21st Century due to lack of,
Concrete decision from state and
Central Government particularly in
Arunachal Pradesh, a part of
Sovereign India, a land of largest democracy.
An appeal to convert Melancholic Tragedy,
To ecstasy of Freedom from sufferings,
And discrimination in Arunachal particular
and India in general.
