Quick Recap: 16 Important Bills Passed By Parliament In 2018

2018 witnessed some major changes and additions in the Constitution of India.

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Judges Bill are some of the major bills amended in 2018 under the Modi Government. All of these bills have been in the news for quite some time.

Out of the 2,554 total bills passed in the Parliament, 33 bills were passed in the Lok Sabha, while the remaining were passed in the Rajya Sabha.

The Government, under the leadership of PM Modi, has been trying to implement a few major laws in order to make its presence felt. Demonetization was one such move.

The new acts passed included the comprehensive GST Act, National Sports University Act, and the Fugitive Economic Offender Act.
