Artificial Intelligence Can Capture Our Imagination In The Years To Come

The world is evolving with every passing day. The buzzword of this decade is Artificial Intelligence (AI). Hence, there will be several types of opinions floating around on social media. Even if experts control it, it is going to impact our lives. Hence, it is necessary to make it easy for a common man to understand and get used to AI.

AI can bring newer job opportunities into the picture. It can give rise to newer ways of doing things and that is enough for our Indian society to get attracted to it. To simplify the subject for the common man, we may answer the following  three fundamental questions:

1. What is Artificial Intelligence, and how will it solve the current set of problems?
2. Is it positive, or detrimental, for a nation like India, which is a human-led economy?
3. What will be the scopes for human beings after AI establishes itself?

Before answering these questions, we need to understand that AI is just a tool. It is tough for experts even to come up with a standard definition of this tool. In simple words, we may say that AI is a tool which works as per the data trend specified by a human being who programs a machine to perform. It is just a process of making a machine intelligent with analysed, synthesised, and conceptualised data. So, wherever we see a repetitive process (a loop), we may apply an artificial intelligence tool there.

It can be predicted that a large number of farmers may still feel skeptical while using technology. In India, having a 4G connection is still considered a luxury. Apart from cultivators, most of our workforce is engaged in the unorganized sector. We need to understand that discussing the possible threats of job loss won’t work anymore. You can either walk along with the world or get isolated.

There seems to be a mismatch between the aspirations and preparedness of India as a nation. Even after all these years, we have not been able to provide high-quality 4G services to all of the smartphone users. Thus, it is quite evident that the class which is operating in the most sophisticated and scientific jobs will be having greater control over the future of the nation and the region.

As human beings, we need to develop efficient machines. We need to develop machines that can process data quickly and efficiently. There are a couple of steps to it:

A highly unpredictable societal structure of our country has made it tough for data analysts to collect, assimilate and compartmentalize data. This is why several economists have raised questions regarding the accuracy of data collection through surveys. Although the world is heavily dependent on data-based predictions, more often than not, these outcomes are quite flexible. In AI, there is no scope for approximation; otherwise, it will turn simple situations into bizarre ones.

AI is expected to capture everybody’s imagination in the years to come. We are marching towards a world dominated by robotics, machines, and other forms of automated technologies. We need to educate our workforce regarding the positives of working with machines. The transition will take time. In history, we have several examples of disruptive inventions which were done keeping human welfare in mind. The problem lies with the humans. They want to control the world. They want to ‘rule’ the world. For the world to prosper, human beings need to co-exist with machines and AI. Without adequate human intervention, we won’t be able to sustain our future generations.
