‘Partea’ is the new name that is ready to heal people staying in Kolkata and beyond. And this time, you don’t need those bitter pills to stay well. All you need is a cup of tea. This initiative is the brainchild of filmmaker Aneek Chaudhuri, who has recently attained global recognition with films like ‘White’ and ‘Cactus’, and budding actor, Anuska Chakraborty of the forthcoming ‘Hiralal’.
Partea is likely to be a place where healing will be done through counselling, colour therapy, and interpersonal interaction. All such interaction will be arranged over a casual conversation over a cup of tea, with clinical supervision. Moreover, Cinema exhibitions will also be held and people are likely to get back to normal lives and move out from their isolated circles. Co-founder Anuska says, “We meet a number of people who are either depressed or isolated within their circles. I have also seen them taking escapist turns. Here, we will help people to triumph over their bad phases.”
Aneek adds, “It is not always a brave thought when people hide their mental health and try to come out strongly. If one is unwell, one should admit it and we will give them the liberty to do so. We will try to understand as well as heal their issues. Moreover, we are including Color therapy to heal people. Here, we will be having a group of qualified experts.“
