Besides Jobs, What Other Uncertainties Lie Ahead Of The Youth?

Do my words convey wisdom and reality? The words which I intend to share are basically an extract of my personal life and experiences. In my opinion, the most concerning issue for today’s millennials is jobs.

But the stats and graphs don’t always paint a great picture. Who doesn’t want to lead a luxurious life? Well, everybody does! Despite being someone who dropped out of college and later went back after a long gap, I still don’t feel encouraged due to the weak foundation of our educational structure. The educational system seems to be built in a way to produce robots. They grow up to dodge or exterminate their dreams and end up feeding the pockets of a chunk of big players.

In the last few years, I have visited several Indian states. Travelling around, I see hidden stories. Whether it is in a Delhi metro or a traffic Jam on Marathalli Road, (Bangalore), what I observe is that a large number of educated youth are being exploited. An artist who has the potential to attain stardom can be seen compromising with his/her dreams. A 16-year-old is forced to migrate to the Silicon Valley of India due to economic disparity. The orthodox cultural setup requires him to save funds for his sister’s dowry. These stories will never be published by the big printing houses, yet they remain to be the darkest secret of the society we live in.

I fear for my future. High expectations, nepotism, failure of big business houses (like Jet Airways and Deutsche Bank) are some issues that might risk our jobs in the future. AI (Artificial Intelligence) has a huge potential of replacing our jobs comfortably.

Instead of development-friendly discussions, I see our lawmakers debating on topics which are bogus to the upcoming generation. Maybe, I’m not alone on this route. There are millions like me who are struggling with life and fail to speak up. Are we being less sensitive? We fail to respect our culture. We dilute it for our professional and personal gains. In every corner and street, we can spot hatred and envy. The presence of various social media tools has given birth to a lifestyle where we fake our own individuality.

Do we intend to fake it on a regular basis to meet social standards? Why do we document everything? Charity does not require to be photographed. The world is so done with the flaunting of charity. I hope we grow as social animals. I fear this might halt and shatter. We fail to feed the hungry and to save humanity. Why are the states bent on building borders and framing new history? When tracking back, we all belong to the same genesis!
