A BJP MLA Claimed That Music Can Increase Milk Production In Cows: How True Is This?

I would rather write about something basic that one says than getting mired in confusing rules that change over time depending on the situation. In continuance of the view, there is a theory that stresses on the assumption that music enhances the quantity of milk from the normal course. The connection between the cows and increased productivity of milk has no scientific calculation.

Then, what caused an elected representative from Silchar, Assam to make such a remark which justifies the effect of music on the cows? According to an HT news report, D K Paul, BJP MLA, in his constituency said, “It has been scientifically proven that if the cow listens to tunes on flute, like the one played by Lord Krishan, its milk yield rises.” Regarding the source of this view, he attributed the same to research done on the link between flute music and cow milk production by a Gujarat-based Non-Governmental Organisation.

Dilip Kumar Paul, A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator from Assam.

A study by the University of Leister in the year 2001, showed that cows milk production increases by as many as 3% when it listens to slow music in comparison to fast music. Another research by Dr Adrian North claims of increasing milk yield probably because it reduces intense stress. But cows were not really into the song “Space Cowboy” sung by London-based jazz band Jamiroquai or another song “Size of a Cow” sung by  The Wonder Stuff, a rock band.

According to the Modern Farmer magazine, cows feel amazingly at ease, piece and relaxed while listening to music and this milch animal produces more milk. It looks simply in deep contrast to the proverb, ‘Bhains Ke Aagey Been Bajana’ (imparting knowledge to a stupid person).

Now, the time has come to change the method of getting more milk in the days of fast music. Who listens to soft classical notes? Will the politician’s assertion not increase noise pollution as the cow dairy owners will start singing for more milk? It is more than merely a fact that cows are drawn towards lovely soft music. It is believed that it was a sub-division genre of YouTube videos.

All manners of musicians can be seen sitting in paddocks, defending cows. The anecdotal data is astonishing. Not only do cows seem attracted to music, they feel to stick around, and listen and seem to be quiet. This is just the opposite of what the politicians are propagating owing to the psychology of fear and pressure of failure in achieving rational outcomes.
