After lodging a complaint about the disappearance of Linh Thi Dieu, a countrywide search operation was immediately launched by the police officials in North Yorkshire for the missing Vietnamese youth. As a part of the rigorous investigation, about ten individuals were arrested by the Yorkshire police in regards to them having a connection with the sudden absence of Linh Thi Dieu. Out of the ten people who were arrested, one of them, Ho Quang Ngoc, has been charged with serious crimes such as abducting a child and helping in the breach of immigration laws.

As the investigation was going on into the disappearance of Linh Thi Dieu, strict searches were conducted on a nail bar as well as a private residential property, both of which are located in the city of Cannock, Staffordshire, that is around 120 miles away from York. Two people are presently being held in the police custody primarily for questioning. On August 13, the North Yorkshire Police Department had released an official statement mentioning that Linh Thi Dieu is entirely safe and well, but the exact place where she was found hasn’t been revealed due to some operational reasons.

On Monday, August 12, Ho Quang Ngoc, a 25-year-old Vietnamese male, who has been charged with numerous crimes by police concerning Linh Thi Dieu’s disappearance, had appeared before magistrates in a York city court, where he was remanded in custody.
