Chhichhore is an upcoming Bollywood movie starring Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, and many more. The movie is based on the college life of many friends and how they drift apart as they progress into middle-age life. As of now, the movie seems promising and is set to release on September 6, 2019.
The story follows a group of college friends who go through the good and the bad times of college and life after it. A lot of people will be able to relate to the story as at some point in our lives, we all have had a lot of fun in our college life. Follow the cast through all their ups and downs and eventually, drifting apart from each other as they reach their middle-age.
Nitesh Tiwari, the director of the movie appeared with Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor on the latest episode of The Kapil Sharma Show and told the audience that the story is inspired from his college life. He added that he believes that a lot of people will relate to the movie and it’s sure to remind them of their college lives.
The trailer of the movie was uploaded on YouTube on August 4, 2019 and has since amassed 25.9M views and 427K likes. The 19K dislikes seem insignificant in front of the massive number of likes.
There are almost 14,000 comments under the video with most of them being positive and some of them already comparing the movie to ‘Student Of The Year’ saying things like “this is not imaginary world of Karan Johar this is how real colleges are” and “thanks for making gareebo ki student of the year, I can afford to watch.”
The trailer follows Sushant Singh Rajput who enters a college (named in the trailer) and meets Varun Sharma. Then they take us on a roller coaster ride of funny scenes and dialogues making us relate to them. The trailer follows the cast going through different events of college life such as living in the hostel, drinking in hostel rooms, talking about girls, the protagonist’s love interest Maya, and much more.
The trailer takes a serious turn in the second half with all the friends in their middle-age life meeting in a hospital to see one of their college friends who seems to have met with an accident. It’s all tears and emotions from them until Varun Sharma ends the trailer with a funny and edgy line. The trailer is a fun ride and it made me reminisce about my college life.
The movie is set to release on September 6, 2019 and to be honest, it seems promising. Nitesh Tiwari said that the story is based on the events from his college life and he is sure that a lot of people will relate to it.
The trailer itself made a lot of people relate to their college lives. It’s clear from the comments under the official trailer of the movie that a lot of people are expecting a lot from the movie (including me). It seems like we will get a nostalgia trip while watching this movie and that’s just what we want. Will we get it though? Well, this question will be answered this Friday!
