Talking About Depression And Suicidal Thoughts Can Be Hard, But It Can Save Lives

Depression is a phenomenon that one can’t truly deceive. The suffering is internal, and it creates mental disturbances and mood disorder if it is hidden for a long period. The agony is more like physical pain. Mood disorder occurs when a person tends not to share their thoughts out of the fear of being judged. Some try to hide or indulge themselves in sadness and start feeling low, distancing themselves from family and friends. Others try to hide and adjust, keeping a mindset that everything will resolve with time and decide to run for a while from their problems.

They have been raised with a mindset to be always strong, distancing themselves from emotional feelings, or they will be laughed at. Although people are concerned and ready to help, opening up to others is a bit difficult for people with mental health disorders. The ugly truth is that depressed people are still seized with the fear of being judged.

A 22-year-old boy from Guwahati, a sportsperson who achieved accolades and medals at the state level, committed suicide in his judo class. According to the landlady, she saw him hanging with a belt around his neck around 5 p.m. After the postmortem report appeared, it was verified to be a suicide, and the underlying cause was depression.

The reason for depression could be anything, but it can only be solved if we talk about it and seek help. Both these families are still struggling to adjust and get back to their normal lives.
