Sambit Patra, Gourav Vallabh, And A Trillion Dollar Question

Through his television conversations, the BJP national spokesman Sambit Patra made the viewers think they needed the course of the debate that promises snarly happiness. His rants do not always satisfy the viewers but he gives utmost value to his political opinions all the time. The viewers remain utterly confused at his fine numerical dexterity which he most of the time conceal under his vast medical mastery.

His elusive ecstatic joy never detaches on such important occasions. Yet, he failed to answer the not-so-tough query put up by none other than Gourav Vallabh during a talk show. His verbal argument with the Congress party leader was worth viewing.

Tackling the queries, there came a moment during the debate when the quite energetic Gourav Vallabh asked Sambit Patra a simple question. It was asked in an almost good-humoured way, “Tell me the number of zeroes that are there in a trillion.” Strangely enough, Sambit Patra was almost too ready to present an answer. The way he approached to answer it appeared as if he would respond in a right good way. But he was surely not fast in answering the query.

Instead of replying, he tried to take the normal question to a different direction. He did not appear to be quite sure of responding in the correct way. This was not the first time the Congress party’s spokesperson had put him into a tight corner. Earlier, he was challenged to recite some verses from the Ramcharit Manas, which is a test he could not pass. He totally failed to recite even one verse from the religious book. He stands nowhere before G0urav Vallabh, who has memorized the Sunderkand.

The video of the debate, that aired on TV on September 10, is doing the rounds on social media thereby inviting netizens’ responses. Patra looked a little bit more embarrassed, but did not fail to use his usual trick of diverting the attention from an accurate reply. Known for his expertise in presenting clarifications with his particular style, he dodged the answer about the total number of zeroes in one trillion. A fundamental flaw persists in his answers at times.

At last the anchor had to ask Vallabh to clear the answer. He explained right away that a trillion had 12 zeroes, ten raised to the power twelve.
