Prevalence Of Hate Crimes In India: Is There No Solution In Sight?

Has India become a totalitarian or a fascist state? This question was triggered in my mind when I heard about one more case of job lynching in Jharkhand, where 24-year-old Tabrez Ansari was attacked by Hindu goons. India needs to discuss these major issues which we can not kick under the sofa any longer.

I would say that mob lynching is more about the hatred between such communities. From Pehlu Khan to Tabrez Ansari, mob Lynching in India became a serious issue. Mob lynching has developed with the idea of ‘false nationalism’. Where Muslims are forced to chant “Jai Shree Ram” to prove their love for the country, and people from the Dalit Community are assaulted by the upper caste.  It is the hate crimes between the communities and has no end.

It seems that India is going towards becoming a fascist state. Hate crimes are increasing day by day. Why are people forced to chant “Jai Shree Ram” in the name of nationalism? Nationalism does not demand anyone to prove love and respect for their country. In India, a false notion of nationalism is encouraged and is not connected with all religions. Hate crimes in the hundreds, endless mob lynching cases are registered, but no one gets justice and many people have lost their lives due to mob lynching.

There should be a strong law against mob lynching all over India, and I hope Tabrez Ansari would be the last victim of mob lynching or hate crime.
