US Drops 80,000 Pounds Of Bombs On Iraq’s ISIS ‘Infested’ Qanus Island

The U.S. warplanes attacked and virtually destroyed the small Qanus island in the Iraqi Saladin province on Tuesday, by dropping 80,000 pounds of explosives on the island.

The Qanus Island was presented by the U.S. as a hiding place for ISIS forces, and they said that the massive attacks would “bring stability to the region”.

The Iraqi military forces also participated in the attack. U.S. Air Force F-15 Strike Eagle and F-35A Lightning II aircraft bombed the Qanus island in Saladin province overnight in an operation to destroy a major ISIS hub from Syria and the Jazeera desert into Mosul, Makhmour and Kirkuk in Iraq.

This was a master game which was planned by the U.S. and Iraqi army to destroy ISIS troops at Qanus island. Officials haven’t said anything about the number of ISIS militants dead or injured in this operation, but it seems to depend largely on how many ISIS members were hiding on that small island.
