Urmila Matondkar Resigns From The Congress Party Ahead Of Assembly Elections

It is trending that Urmila Matondkar is resigning from the Congress party which she joined six months ago. Revealing her disenchantment with the party so early, she blamed petty in-house politics and also held responsible the leadership, for not working on a bigger role in the Mumbai Congress.

She appeared to have been accepting that there was a problem of the leadership in the party. She expressed her dismay and said it was an act of blatant betrayal. She also specified that no one heard her out, despite continued protests. Sanjay Nirupam was responsible for welcoming her into the party, yet she thought it better to tender her resignation on the tenth day of this ongoing month.

When she fought the LS polls from the Mumbai North seat, everything was good for her. She had achieved much in a short span of time, fulfilling her political ambition. She was juggling way more than an average politician would ever even think of. Somehow, she failed to manage the circumstances that abruptly the juggling balls crashed on the spic and span ground.

Her stint in the party did not last long. She had joined the Congress in the month of March this year stressing that she was not going to leave after the elections. She even said she believed in the party’s ideology. Will the party reject her resignation?
