Will AAP MLA Alka Lamba Join Congress Ahead Of 2020 Delhi Elections?

Alka Lamba

When we look at what other people are contemplating over, we refrain from thinking about our dreams. Every thinking man considers of doing or achieving something someday. There is not one but a vast number of politicians who consider switching political parties often. A little annoyed Alka Lamba, AAP MLA from Chandni Chowk, seems to be pondering her shift from the Aam Aadmi Party to the Congress party. Her recent meeting with Sonia Gandhi hints at her inclination. She is said to have resigned from the primary membership of the party led by Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi, earlier last month.

When she joined the Aam Aadmi Party she had visualised enough opportunities in that new party, but her several months’ attachment with the party somewhere turned sour, and she stooped to working with many constraints. Angry with this situation, she started feeling intense suffocation inside the party. This possibly started irking her to a great degree. She began looking at her parent party—which once again became a place to continue her political activities. It is a known fact that it was the Congress party which provided her open space in her initial days in politics. It was here she endeavoured hard to understand the complex intricacies of politics. This field is practically not governed by any set standard or principle but runs on the beginning and end of political relationship. If one possesses a sense of guessing what’s cooking up exactly in someone else’s head, it happens to be the basic trait of becoming a politician. This attribute is usually found among most of our politicians.

That is why they switch parties for their motives. Though they confidently profess to work for the public weal, their self-oriented interests surpass every professed ideal. Keeping in view this odd definition or acerbic attitude regarding politics, it can be precisely said that Alka Lamba, too, appears to have developed a penchant for the Congress party’s interim chief Sonia Gandhi, whom she had described as a tall leader of secular ideology in recent days. She also mentioned that her meeting with Congress leader covered a various range of issues confronting the country at this hour.

Her straight row with the AAP was widely circulated in the public sphere. She had strongly reacted to the party’s apparent defeat in the Lok Sabha polls. The AAP lost all the seats in the parliamentary elections. But as political gazers assert, the prospect of this newest political party is not wholly over despite all the propaganda against it. Its various public related steps have not distracted its staunch supporters. It longs to repeat its 2015 resounding victory in the ensuing assembly polls in the year 2020. If a politician like Alka Lamba decides to join the oldest political party finally, she would be able to gain the support of all those who repose faith in her leadership.
