Despite Great Strides, Swachh Bharat Mission’s Larger Goal Of Safe Sanitation Remains

The Swachh Bharat Mission is the Government of India’s flagship sanitation programme launched in 2014. It has aimed to eradicate the practice of open defecation by 2019, and in five years, the SBM has constructed over 10 crore toilets with 38 toilets built per minute.
