This is what this image portrays and after watching this, some may show some pity towards him, some of us will find time to blame the government and that’s all. The matter ends there.

For many of us, it will be a topic of discussion and form a part of our conversations. But in this incident, what is more disheartening, is to watch him cry due to his helplessness. He knows that his only source of bread is through his rickshaw. He can only feed his family when his rickshaw will ply, which he knows will not be possible in this flood. He can’t afford to access a cure for diseases they might catch because of this unabating flood. He might not have access to proper shelter for him and his family.
When a rickshaw puller pulls a rickshaw occupied with customers, he definitely puts in a lot of effort, works hard to pull the vehicle. Meanwhile, he may get injured but never complains. But, this is still not comparable to the pain he may feel while pulling an empty rickshaw, with his livelihood affected by the floods, because the situation adds to his helplessness. This is not his failure, but the failure of the whole system made by us humans.
This is just one example. We really can’t imagine the number of people suffering in such situations daily.
