Why Loving Yourself Is Important

प्रतीकात्मक तस्वीर

In today’s world, people are so busy loving the fake things that they tend to forget to love real things. And the thing which is the most real to us is ourselves, but we are so much involved in the material things that we cannot give proper time to ourselves. Just ask yourself a question, how much time have you spent with your family? Or how much time do you give to your physical fitness? Talking to someone close to you releases half of your stress, whether you are a student or you are in a job. Similarly, exercising not only keeps you physically fit, but it also keeps you mentally fit. Loving someone or something starts from caring, similarly loving yourself starts from taking care of yourself, that is your body and your brain.

We take these things for granted, but in the end, we will realize our mistake. Many people run after money their entire life, but they end up suffering from some or the other disease. On the other hand, some people earn just more than enough so that they can live happily. These people never regret anything in their life. It doesn’t mean that making money is wrong; in fact, it is the most important thing, but not more important than your mental and physical health.

Don’t forget to love yourself—because you are the most important. Just sit alone for some time and ask yourself whatever you are doing right now makes you happy, or does it frustrate you. If your answer is “yes”, then continue your work, but it’s “no” then just take a break from your studies or job, and go for a vacation where you can sit under the sky. That one instant will clear your head about what you have to do in your life.

Here are some tips for living a better life:

  1. Try to wake up early in the morning and do some yoga/meditation, but make sure that you get proper sleep of 6–7 hours.
  2. Don’t read the newspaper in the morning as it mostly provides information that might frustrate you or spreads hatred. You can read the important news in the afternoon.
  3. Try to have a healthy breakfast that includes fruits or juices.
  4. Stay away from your phone unless it’s very urgent.
  5. After coming back from your work/studies, try to spend some time with your family—like playing a game with them, etc.
  6. The most important thing is that before you go to sleep, just ask yourself what new thing have you tried or done.

If you follow these tips seriously, I can assure you that you will definitely see some changes in yourself. And don’t forget to be grateful for whatever you are today!
