Poem: A New Beginning

The worst is over,

The storm came in a hurry,

Now, it’s gone.

Designed to rip your soul apart,

The storm failed in its purpose.

You were terribly bruised and hopeless.

Your grief was your only friend.

Lost without a direction,

You felt like a victim of circumstance.

Powerless, fragile, and vulnerable.

A weakling amidst a man-made disaster.

Deserted, isolated and marooned.

But, the wait is over.

You have conquered the giant.

You were able to tame the fire.

Though the earth is barren,

Soon, it will be fertile with love again.

The timing is right,

The sun is majestic and splendid,

Just after a little nap.

The timing is right,

The worries are over,

The miseries are gone.

Realisations awaken you like thunder,

We only get hurt to heal,

We only fail to succeed.

Lift your eyes up,

The sky is all clear.

Listen, the birds are chirping,

We aren’t late for a new beginning.
