The Family Man: Neeraj Madhav Is Impeccable, And I Can’t Wait For Season 2!

SPOILER ALERT

It’s the age of web series and not everything has impressed me. After watching the impeccable Derry Girls on Netflix, I wasn’t sure of what to watch next. My colleagues suggested The Family Man, but I passed it off as just another series.

But a ScoopWhoop article about Neeraj Madhav being a flawless antagonist pushed me to watch The Family Man. For those unaware, Neeraj Madhav is a Malayalam actor and writer, who’s done commendable work. And oh my, I have never loved a show as much as this one! I was surprised to learn that this series was launched in the current environment. There were chilling scenes of mob lynching and the ₹15 lakhs jumla.

There was another scene where Gul Panag essaying the role of an officer talked about the mess AFSPA has created in Kashmir. Also, terrorism in the subcontinent and Pakistan’s alleged role were portrayed maturely. Manoj Bajpayee (Srikant Tiwari) was amazing as always. Along with him, Priyamani (Suchi), Neeraj Madhav (Moosa Rehman), Sharib Hashmi (JK Talpade) and even the children were perfect.

On the family front, Priyamani essayed the role so well, that even infidelity seemed subtle. Neeraj Madhav deserves a standing ovation. Having watched his performances in Malayalam cinema, his acting in this show isn’t a surprise to me.

You might have heard and read many reviews on The Family Man. Thus, I am not explaining the nuances of this picture-perfect show. This is straight from my heart, I have fallen in love with this show. The last episode felt incomplete and made me want to watch the next season. Maybe that’s what the writers of this show wanted to invoke. Meanwhile, here’s hoping Neeraj Madhav gives us many more impeccable performances.
