We Have The Power To Say No To Single-Use Plastic!

Representational image.

“We, the people of India, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic, as written in the Preamble to the Constitution.

We are power, we are ignited souls, we are Indian! We are something from where democracy begins from. We do not form a chunk of this tremendous world even though we are 133.92 crore Indian citizens that account for 17.71% of this world’s population. Is this number is not enough to kill all the sins of this nation?

Why do we always target the government and are always busy shrugging off our responsibilities towards the loopholes of the system?

We have the power to rule over the economy, the environment, even the government, but we don’t have time to think about the possible solutions.

Why is only the automobile sector suffering, and not the single-use plastic industries?

We are the’ king’ of the market we have the power to get any product or commodity out of the hawk.

But we love to be in our comfort zone. We feel so lethargic to carry a nearly ‘170-gram heavy bag’ to the market and then ask for plastic bags from retailers.

If the automobile sector can be in woes because of decreasing demand in the market, my question is why does the plastic industry still have such a prosperous appearance? Why is the demand for such things not declining?

An ignited soul is the most powerful resource that any nation could have.

So stop complaining, start working!

This is high time to say bye to single-use plastic and hello to cotton or paper bags!

“We have to be the change,we want to see in the world,” said Mahatma Gandhi.
