Bonsai: A Natural And Interactive Approach To Interior Designing

Who doesn’t want to live with nature?

People make gardens in their homes so that they can live close to pure environment, among high and shady trees. What if those trees would be used as decorative pieces in our home sweet home? Because the closer you live to nature, the better you ponder.

Bonsai trees are an experimental outcome of this natural approach of interior designing. They make the outdoors and indoors of a house simple but attractive. They are installed on the walls too. This tiny tree came from the Japanese tradition of flourishing a lilliputian tree in a container.

The term Bonsai is made of two words “bon” and “sai.” “Bon” means tray whereas “sai” in Japanese means tree. Different traditions have different approaches towards it. The Japanese consider it in a religious aspect; however, the adherents of the Zen Buddhism install Bonsai their home. Maybe as a miniature of the Bodhi tree under which Gautama Buddha got enlightenment. Actually, nowadays in China, the terrace garden concept is also acquiring the addition of Bonsai trees. As we are aware of the population rate of China, the country has a limited space.

Bonsai helps growing fruits in an aesthetic way, that too in a small periphery. This gives us tasty fruits to eat. Oxygen is also a growing global main concern, irrespective of any country. Fresh air is always required for a healthy lifestyle. This tiny tree fulfills that need as well as keeping it at home makes the atmosphere peaceful and  spiritual.

Through the help of Bonsai, environmentalists are now able to protect vulnerable species of flora. They are easily available online. People can find beautiful and distinct variety of Bonsai trees.

You can make it on your own by following some simple steps:

  1. To make a Bonsai tree, you need one grown tree that has been rooted in a pot.
  2. Cut the extra stems and left the rooted part of the tree.
  3. Then shape those parts from where the branches have cut out, so that the stems will not grow again.
  4. Remove the unwanted soil and take the prominent rooted part. For giving it the shape of a Bonsai, you have to wire the branches; before that cut out the dead branches.
  5. Then take a container or little pot filled with soil and plant the tree into it. The branches are wired to maintain the shape of Bonsai. Else they will grow wide.
