Arvind Kejriwal’s ONE OF A KIND ‘Community Diwali’ celebrations began between October 26 and 27 at Connaught Place. A laser show was organised as a part of the Community Diwali celebrations to dissuade people from bursting crackers.
This mega event was to be a part of the prime manifestation marked by special observances maintaining that social functions of a festival are closely related to community values and development.
This event of Diwali gave the ability to connect to the cultural values and the society in which people live. There was a short story of Ramayana and Mahabharata displayed with respect to the present scenario. It spread the message of having a smoke free Diwali with only Diyas and Lights. The main concept for the event was predominantly concerned with high culture, classical music and choral groups.
Such events also have the potential to enhance or improve the development of a destination along with the mindset of the community. The event embraced all the sections of the city’s Diverse multi-cultural community and provided an opportunity for people living and working in the city to celebrate Diwali in a different manner.
Thus, the event was quite astonishing and impacted the minds of people.
