Every year on the occasion of Kali Pujo, Ajoy Dutt in Kolkata’s Bholanath Dham, through his initiative, paints the sky with his and many others’ sky lanterns or fanush. Through a Fanush Utsav, Dutt ensures every person gets a glimpse of the magnificent and majestic hot air lanterns.
Hundreds of photographers and others assembled on this day at the house and occupied the three floors, including the terrace, to capture the captivating confluence of art and science.
The age-old tradition of making fanush might soon fade into oblivion if the next generation does not show interest. However, till the time Ajoy babu and his likes are there, the skies will keep getting hot air visitors every year!
