What Is The Hype About The YKA Summit?

By 2020, India will be the world’s youngest country and we at YKA, are proud to be at the forefront of the country’s burgeoning aspirations.

Over the years, the YKA community has grown to be a powerful, changemaking bunch that creates an impact each day. Besides writing and learning, the community also takes initiative and action. With this in mind, we launched  the Youth Ki Awaaz Summit in 2018 – the single largest forum for young Indians to discuss, deliberate and act on critical issues shaping our world.

Amongst 20+ speakers, we have this year Ashish Birulee, a photojournalist who’s taken the story of Jadugoda, a coal colony, to the rest of the world; Ridhima Pandey, an 11-year-old who filed a complaint against government inaction on the climate crisis; Saurabh Dwivedi, editor at The Lallantop; Gulesh Chauhan, India’s first woman Uber driver and more.

The Summit is the voice of a progressive generation, wanting to go out and change the world for the better. This year, on December 20-21, you can meet and hear from India’s leading changemakers, social entrepreneurs, political leaders, artists and performers. You can also attend a set of curated workshops to help you take the next big step in your change making journey.

The two-day event is free to attend and an inclusive space for you to break the glass ceiling. Listen to carefully curated conversations about changemaking, engage with decision makers, and take the conversation one level higher.
