“When You Respect Nothing, You Must Respect The Constitution”

This fight is not against religion instead, it is for justice. Justice for the rights of citizens, justice against the brutality inflicted upon the students, justice for all the suicides committed due to NRC, justice for all those people who have been harmed and injured.

Jamia Millia Islamia and Aligarh Muslim University are crying and so are the other universities. The situation is nothing less than bloodshed, silent protests turning into bloody massacres. Our educated youth is out on the roads with burning mashals and candles in their hands, boycotting their exams. At the time when they should be studying, why are they protesting? For what? For their rights which are being stripped away?

Students leave Jamia Millia Islamia in New Delhi for their homes on Monday, after violence gripped the campus.

How would the future of these students seem to be? How would the future of India look like? How can a law be justified if so many people are against it? Whatever the power says, we know what the Citizenship Amendment Act is actually about and what it is up to.

This democratic nation has turned into a dictatorship and so many people are still ‘choosing’ to remain silent. Presently, our economy is devastated, education is hindered, health is overlooked, nation’s pride is in danger, rights of the citizens are at stake and still a major lot is celebrating the new act. These short-term accomplishments will slowly turn into long-term unfortunate results which would eventually drag our country into pits leaving our country hundreds of years behind.

This time is no different than Hitler’s. This country is going back to those times when thousands of people died solely due to one person. A similar situation is arising today. People have aggression building up and why should they not, after all, it is a matter of their identity. This new act questions their identity. Whatever these citizens are doing is undoubtedly correct except the perpetuation of violence.

Violence should never be used as a weapon to reach out to their aims. This situation is reaching out to the people just like a wildfire which will very soon burn the harmony and peace of our India before the situation becomes perilous, a quick-fix is required.

India is a country which is known for its indigenous diversity and is asserted as a piece of evidence in our constitution. When no one respects anything, they must respect the constitution.
