For me, Ahimsa is a state of mind and I have always heard “खाली दिमाग शैतान का घर होता है” (An idle brain is the devil’s workshop) and when you see the background of people who raise violence, then you will find out that their minds are empty. India is a beautiful country and as Mahatma Gandhi has said “Truth and Ahimsa will never be destroyed”, it stands correct for my country.
Whenever the question arises, if India is still a land of Ahimsa, the answer is ‘YES’ because it has been a major factor for India’s independence but this question arises when we see people throwing stones, students protesting, and people protesting against certain things and those things come to notice as they are done in a place where the reach of media is maximum.
But, I belong to the place which is very much peaceful and doesn’t have any sort of violence but that is not known by people as the place has not been influenced by media so much. We cannot say that India has become violent seeing the cases of a few famous cities in India or a few universities like Jamia Millia Islamia, JNU, etc because they have always been doing that but that doesn’t mean India is on the path of losing its peace.
