Kottayam :like other trade unions strike is celebrated by the people in Kerala. Empty roads closed shops except hospitals and railway ‘s nearby shops and sabarimala pilgrims.
One day before the strike people gives much business to bars, meet shops and so on. People spent time at home by watching television, eating and drinking without knowing what is happening in outside.
On strike days Kerala police no need to worry about much anything. They just stay near bus stands, go with the political marches, roam in the towns and nearby areas.
In day of strike political parties marches through town areas and just give a small speech about the strike. After that they roam through the roads till evening. There were no strong protests or crimes happening in these days.
For Kerala strikes are a great festival . People enjoys it and becomes lazy in the works and thinking about when the next strike comes.
