Most of us think that we have a void in us or we will be “whole” if we have a better half with us, but this is not how things work. In pursuit of finding that better half, rejection plays a very crucial role because we have been expecting too much and we have invested so much already while the real deal was just to present our real personality in front of others and let them decide.
But, after getting rejected, our ego takes a massive hit. Instead of blaming ourselves “oh, maybe I’m not good-looking enough”, or “I’m not physically appealing”, we should boil it down to “maybe they just don’t happen to like me, and it’s not my fault they feel a certain way. It’s their CHOICE.”
