India idealizes secularism, but only on paper. We Indians have divided ourselves into religion, then into castes, and then into sub-castes. It has been followed since the medieval period. It was done to ease the administration, but now, it is a reason for many conflicts going on in the world.
The difference in people’s ideologies leads to the formation of different religions, and that leads to the division of land, which was the reason India didn’t entirely succeed in the Revolt of 1857—as we had different states with different thinking. We, as Indians, need to come up leaving different mindsets and ideologies behind and stand together as a united country
