When I first time got my period I was in my school and there is no period friendly toilets in my school so went to my home, l was crying because I had no idea about period , at that time I thought I have done something wrong that’s why I got this punishment , I was unaware that this a natural process , because in our society there is a lot of taboos about periods , nobody wants to talk about periods not only in our homes neither in our school. That day many questions came in my why this is happening with me and so on.
When I reached home my mom asked me why I am crying but I don’t have any answer , when she noticed that red stain in my dress she got her answer, than she told me that I got my period , she gave a piece of old cloth and also told me that don’t enter in kitchen, don’t touch the drinking water and so on.
