Poem: “But Your Failure Wakes Up All Night”

Indoor day time image in natural light of a depressed jobless young man thinking deeply by holding his head and sitting near a glass window wearing a t-shirt. One person, head and shoulders, horizontal composition with selective focus and copy space.

The people around you won’t let you glow,

Of course, they say they want you to grow.

But this, my story, is of a failure you know,

Failing is normal but shaming a failure isn’t.

You say your words and sleep tight,

But your failure wakes up all night.

Where y’all stand and debate your knowledge,

the failure just wants more courage.

You don’t talk or stand with a failure in the crowd,

But you sure want the failure when you’re all sound.

When you get a good company you also get me,

Of course, only to make sure you let go of no chance to demotivate me.

You are clever enough to troll me starting by all good means,

But your failure, oh she’s a fool to have trusted your good moves.

Don’t worry, your failure will try hard,

but while trying, no doubt, your words shall make her cry hard.
